Sussex Law Society Dinner

Mary-Joyce Insaidoo was delighted to attend the inauguration of Angela Arnold as President of the Sussex Law Society by representing the Kent Law Society in her capacity as President. Angela delivered a highly engaging and heartfelt speech, addressing crucial topics such as the influence of AI and technology on the legal system, emphasising that they should never dictate the rule of law. She also shared poignant reflections from her own personal journey.

The evening provided the perfect opportunity to reconnect with colleagues such as Neive Augustin and to forge new connections with other invited Presidents of the Law Societies, including Theresa Mills and Leanna Ellis. It was also great to meet and connect and have engaging conversations with the amazing Councillor Bella Sankey, Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council & Labour Councillor for Wish Ward and Councillor Janet Baah, former Mayor of Lewes Council & Councillor of Lewes & Eastbourne, all whilst enjoying the divine Caribbean cuisine on offer at The Grand Hotel Brighton.

It was a memorable occasion with music from the legendary Ray Lewis from the Drifters, and Mary-Joyce extended her warmest congratulations to Angela Arnold. She is confident Angela will excel as President of the Sussex Law Society.
